just thought i'd post some pics of the restoration of my mk1 sierra 4x4 for those who might be interested in looking.

Still alot of work to do as its going to have a YB in it running around 350bhp give or take.

Keeping it diamond white with a 3door bonnet and vent which in my opinion suits the car and not o.t.t.

thanks, its abit further on than what you see in the pics. Back axle on with new koni shocks and eibach springs. engine bay prepped for paint. just waiting for strut brace to arrive so i can drill hole before painting. Currently waiting for pistons to be skimmed and head to come back from a service then build engine back up. will try and keep on top of updates

got most of the rust cut out and re-plated, but in side the sills werent the best. probably gonna come through in years to come but for now was plastered with wax oil. the underseal when removed revealed alot more rot than i realised, but had to carry on with it, wasnt going to buy and strip another shell just to find it rotten too.

Always fancied a black mk1 4x4 for everyday use with a v6 24v cosworth rear wheel drive conversion like my white 1 used to be. good luck with yours "3dr cossie"

 

Nice project, i will be starting my track car project very soon, just have to get the donor camaro road legal so i can take the plate off, then pull the engine out.

5.0 chevy v8 (4 barrel holley, comp cam, msd ignition)
supra 5 speed manual with bell housing to suit v8
909 bilstein coilovers
rose jointed rear beam
330mm 4 pot ap's
6 point cage
cobra monaco buckets
plastic windows

Should be ready for ppc in the park in may.
