Default Is this against passionford rules

I stated a thread asking other fellow members, how much is my car worth, as some members have more experience and clue, I was genuinely asking, I did not say what so ever, this car is for sale or parts are for sale. Just wanted to know how much it was worth. to consider selling it. The thread got removed. received message to say, that I at to advertise it in the selling part, but I'm not selling it. If I did advertise it in their it probably would of got removed and received message saying, it got removed as you advertised in the selling cars, but your not selling anything. so was my original thread against passionfrod rules.

If you GENUINELY not selling one, why not just say you are thinking of getting a whatever it is but dont know a good price on them could someone tell you, then you would find out, and obviously you havent got one so no point in anyone contacting you and no point in the mods deleting cos it no way for sale, BUT if you arent GENUINE then this idea wont work because you wont be "cleverly" letting everybody know you got one for sale

'Whats it worth' are pointless anyway mate when it comes to old cars. Its just impossible to say without seeing it, and even then, everyones opinion will be different, so could be +/- a few grand either way.

Best way, is it judge it for yourself based on some others availbale and the ones you went to see when you bought yours. Then pay the tenner and advertise it on here.

really you seem to have alot to say about the mods just lately, obviously you dont agree with the rules,if so why use the site just leave
to anwers the OP question, yes it is against the rules,it may help if you took a min to read them
but here is the rule for you
A lot of people try to get round the rule above by posting a topic called "What’s it worth?" under the pretence that they are just wondering how much to sell it for. Due to the fact that such a member would receive many private messages about such an item for sale, we only allow this to happen in the Items for sale forums, which are of course gold members only areas. This rule only applies if the user does in fact have one of these items that they may want to sell.
