Default toyo tyres

i've experienced the 888's and these are great but wear down quite quick and was going to try there proxes 4 or t1r's in 195/45/16 and wondered if anyone has used them or can recomend any good road tyres especially in wet as thats 70% of uk weather p.s on erst

T1R work well as a road tyre, but they are NOTHING like the dry grip of the 888

Never tried the 888's, but the T1-R's are very good tyres (especially in the wet), prefferred the older T1-s' though

thanks for your help the 888's are for quarter/gripper times and i have a second set of comps that will be on for the day to day stuff like now when you don't get the benefit of the 888's due to weather so might aswell have a more cost effective/harder tyre on, once again thanks

I've used the F1, T1S, T1R, uni rainsport, verdestein sprotrac 3, etc etc.
I recently tried HANCOOK VENTUS V12 EVO tyres, bejesus what a revelation, easily outshines every other(legal) tyre that I have used, ace in wet and dry, ask burnzybubbles as he's just got his and over the moon with them, they are not any cheaper but worth every penny at twice the price!!

Had toyo's on my rst for a good few years now, the T1s's and the T1r's as well as r888's...nothing wrong with the t1r's for road use imo and you should be able to get them for reasonable money! I use the 888's for track, and last year decided to kill off an old set of t1r's on an airfield day, and they really were nothinn on the 888's, really showed me the difference in the grip limit, the tyree surface barely tore up!

Not sure if I have the T1R or T1S on my tank but I'm very pleased seeing as I came from Continental Sport Contact 2's which I loved

You can get the R1Rs now which are a halfway house between 888s and T1Rs. Not as noisy as the 888s either

when i saw this thread i was gunna give you and the hankook's a mention , as tabetha said bloody good tyre all round and a little cheaper too, i can have my car full of tools and it'll still go round corners faster than the local chavs in the saxo's and pug's, even funnier when you see me shoot round a corner with the car leaning it's tit's off with the weight
