Default FAO High powered ford owners...

As some of you know I work for the company that produces Max Power.

After a huge re-design they are now looking for some standard looking high performance fords to feature.

If any of you are interested please reply and I will pass on details.

The one I can think of at the moment is Dave Moss (Yum), but i'm sure that others may be interested.

Thanks

Andy

Max Power has been redisigned???

Must of ran out of yank/foreign jobbies to photo (no offence to anyone on here!)

I've got the first issues of Max Power and Revs indoors, they both used to be good magazines with more features than adverts now alas its the other way around.

Rant Over.

If you don't want a feature then not a problem..

I'mm sorry they are offering time and money to pay for 2 cars to compte against each other...

they did a feature on the National day, and other shows. I believe one of the new guyss there has a cossie.

Slag them off all you like, but if they are willling to put themselves out to get you a feature then who cares.

Fudgeass, not slagging the car off mate.. send me over pics and spec and will forward them onto the guys...

If you have nothing constructive to say then don't bother

The Max Power concept works pretty well, and it was and still is a popular magazine. I too have some much older copies that make good reading, with the right balance of tits, adverts, features, cars with modded engines and cars with tasteful bodykits. If the magazine is changing back to that it's a good thing, but RS and Cosworth fever needs to stop and someone look around at the rest of the Ford scene - putting Mr Fudgeass there down isn't really the way to start, especially without seeing his engine bay!!!

I'll forward my pics when I do for the rest of the mags, when I've fixed the big fuck off hole in the back of my car that some twat in a Peugeot put there this time last year

Max Power is a bucnh of fricken donkeys.

I sent them about 5 emails asking about the Severn Valley Motorsport Ka to see if they could tell me the date it was featured and not one of the arseholes had the decency to even reply...not even a "sorry we dont know".

Max Power has missed the boat. It used to be about the cars and the people but the last time I picked a copy up it was more of a porn mag than a car mag.

The mag will have its work cut out though if it wants to pull readers back from Performance Ford, Fast Ford

Saddly when you say you are into cars most people think Max Power and all the bad image and stereotypes that go with it

Hope they can sort the mag back to what it was a few years back and good them for trying

CapriSean, I have asked him for pics... I just asking for what I thought they wanted.. Sorrry if that came across wrongly..

Thye just asked for high powered cars, standardish and bling engine bays.

They are changing to alot more now They have to aim at thye target market, and unfortunately that has been huge bodykits and 1.1 engines..

Times are changing..

Andy, my mate and I both have moonstone 2wd saffs on 17s, both are very quick (mine is 350bhp, his should piss over 300)
We are also lazy bastards who cant be arsed to turn the wheel to steer, so we use the back end most of the time. Would be a laugh. I'll ask him.

I used to LOVE getting the new edition every month, top cars, top features, and always funny!

But Im going back to 1993-95 when it was a good magazine........
Why did it have to turn into half a porno mag?
If I wanted to see women Id by a porno mag, when I buy a car mag I want to see cars!

Thats not a re-design its going back to the way it started all those years ago.

Think it was issue 4 my mate did a grudge thing in his RWD Rally Fiesta with 5 other RWD converted rallycars cars.

NEVER bought a single issue since.

Why feature a car that has already been featured in other magazines tho' ?? That to me seems just a pointless "were running short of idea's excersize"

Andy, I think the problem is to a degree, that the likes of Max, Revs, Fastcar turned there back on the ford scene to a great degree, they went with the whole fast n furious Jap fasion, just as Performance Ford, and of late i'm pleased to say Fastford pulled there finger out, so now, anyone with a ford would rather see there car in what is regarded as a Proper FORD tuning mag, rather than a mag that simply follows what ever fashion is out there, I aint having a dig at you mate, we've been mates for a long time...

But I feel that maybe Max are now seeing that as ever fords are still where it's 'really' at and wanna bit of the pudding so to speak, but having a feature which is blatantly a copy of PF's grudge match and also askin for Cossies in particular aint gonna get the respect they want...

Fudgeass has spent a great deal of time on a set of Bike throttle bodies that when fitted will be well trick... this is the sort of thing i wanna see in mags, maybe it's time mags started taking note of whats going on out there rather than trying to follow what ever fashion is IN

Rant over!!

I agree, Fugeass' car would be something worth reading about. ITS DIFFERENT!
Its not just another small hatch with half a ton of fibreglass stuck to it and then painted in a bright colour.
Just asking for cossies pretty much sums it all up.

Grudge matches between similar modded, but DIFFERENT MAKES of car might be nice to see, and not ness huge powered models , get some regular street motors on there, ERST, FRST, Saxo, Civics, Pulsars, Corsa's etc etc going against each other.

I think it's abit to focused just wanting bling high powered motors, but on the other hand, I can't see the regular readers being interested in a clean, tastefully modded motor with reasonable power, it is Max Power after all, neons, big kits and Jap cars with 1k bhp, will take a while to break it to the Saxo boys that that monster bodykit and neon light hasn't given it the ability to whip a cossy into shape.

Get some the of the Ford range spanking the rivals down a track, that should builds some interest in the Blue oval and shake of there interest in humongus bodykits that look like an alien has fell on there bonnet.

Do you want Fast/Powerful Cossies or loads of Mudflaps & neons.
Perhaps you can suggest a challenger in a grudge match.

Give them a break guys! Maybe they wont beat PF or FF, BUT at least they have realised that corsa's and saxo's and the like with wide arch kits and gay flip paint are SHIT.
I'm in the target for max, i'm 21 years old!! But do i drive a 1.1 corsa with 19inch chrome rims and lexus lights? Do i fuck, i have a 350bhp saff. If they start making other guys my age realise they can have a decent car instead of a beancan with a 7inch exhaust then fair play.
