Default How long ago did Goodyear make these? Eagle NCT 2

I've got 2 Goodyear Eagle NCT 2's on the back of my Sapph and I'm sure Goodyear stopped making them before the mid 90's They are the same as this

Anyone know how old they are likely to be? When I bought the car it had 4 of them on it but 2 were worn on the inside edges. They are still in good condition with no cracks which surprises me given that they must be very old

Hey, my MkII 3dr had them on from the factory. I've also seen them factory fitted on Mk1 Mondeos.

On one side of the tyre you will find an elliptical field with 3 numbers. It might say "DOT" somewhere around it aswell. The first few figures are the week, the last figure is the year.

424 = 42nd week 1984

A triangle symbol prior to the figures means it was produced in the 1990's.

"triangle"424 = 42nd week 1994

And from 2000 on, there are 4 numbers
4204 = 42nd week 2004

That's what I think because I remember my dad having them on his mark 5 escort, I'll check the tyres for the markings above when I get home.
