my focus needs a engine its a 2.0 black top zetec. ive got a 2.0 silver top zetec from a 1999 mondeo can these be fitted in to a focus. and is the actual block and head the same as they look identical. i no one of the engine mounts is diffrent but would the one off the black top bol on to the silver top any help would be great thanks.

 

any 1 got any ideas

 

im pretty sure you cant, i looked into this once on a focus i bought with blown engine, ill keep my eyes open as im in southampton

you will need a black top zetec as the silver top ones bolt up diffrent, whats wrong with your zetec in your focus?

 

the engine its self is sound its the head that is fucked its droped a valve and ive got a 2.0 silver top already so i thought i see if it would go in are the heads the same.
