Hi all, i've just bought a focus rs and i've heard about the gen 2 air filter. Are they any good and are there any alternatives cheaper than 200?
Cheers dave

gen 2 sounds the absolute bollocks!

personally i dont want one as they sit so low and can suck water. you get a sock to put over it but im still not tempted.

i just got a k+n panel. loads better than standard!

GGR kit is probably the best for the mk1 FRS, pumaspeed do a better K&N kit than the gen 2, it has a bigger filter & comes with the roose intake hose.
we sell them at Jamsport if we can help you, about Ł220 iirc with the roose hose.

I had a GenII but the fit of them is dreadful. I replaced it with a K&N panel filter but drilled the airbox lid and removed the snorkel from the airbox. TBH it sounds like a GenII is fitted and I'm pretty sure it didnt lose any power over the GenII.
