Default What does a bolt standard s2 fetch now???

Have just bought a white s2 completly standard apart from a magnex exhaust it is very solid underneath never welded in the boot and been waxoyled on the bulkhead, fusebox, battery tray since new, 114,000 miles loads of history and old mot's all panels are straight original wings etc just needs a new bonnet as its rusting on the underneath on the lip and roof could do with tidying as its been done before (rust) but not very well in all a tidy example just cant be bothered with rs's at the mo so am going to save and get a mint example for say £5000 plus in a year or 2, so what would this be worth am i right in thinking £2000-2500??? as am going to advertise it in say a month or so any help would be appreciated

I'd say £1000-£1500 @ 114k (if thats genuine which it probably isnt) engine will be needing a rebuild really, big ends will be very worn!
As said rusty roof is a big no no for anyone thats familair with RST's, and new cam and lifters isnt always a good thing............ could just mean swarf round the engine depending how it was fitted and what brand

Thanks for your opinion karlos g but yes the milege is genuine (mot's to back it up) and not every rst that has over a 100,000 needs a rebuild some old ish lady had it for 14 years then it was stored for 4 years, 95% of them have rust around there roofs i have had 13 erst's and only 1 had no rust round the roof, and the last owner had a full top end rebuild using genuine ford parts!!!!!!!

Oh well that sounds like a nice one, Ford top end will hopefully be ok then too! But big end shells are down to the brass by 60-70k so anyone wanting it to upgrade and run decent power will need to at least do the bottom end.
Obviously this is just my experience and opinion Milesy mate, and good luck with the sale!

Lol well a fair bit, unless you got it for a steal why would anyone want to pay that much more for it than you did, you haven't restored or spent thousands on it have you? Add to that the fact that say you paid 1k for it, you might be happy to make a quick 500 or hold out for a grand perhaps? If i buy something to sell i'll decide what profit i am happy to sell it for. I'd say maximum price would be around the 2k mark if it's as solid as you say

Well i am not going to disclose what i paid for it m8, but put it this way i aint about to stick £500-1000 on top although i have done a service and sticking a -31 actuator on it as the springs knackered on the one on it, and am selling it with konis and 30mm lowering spring if the buyer wants them, so i have put it up for £2250 and will take £2000-2100.
