The 2.2 TDCi is a punchy unit... I drove an '09 Titanium X Sport the other day and it was very impressive and a great place to be.

Cheers,

I've got a 2.2 and it's by far the best engine. I'm thinking of selling soon too.

Usually the higher bhp car tend to suffer with more injector problems than the lower bhp cars, not that i can prove this, but my mate who works at Ford told me when i was looking at my TDCI

yeh i think a prob will grant but dont want hit with injector bills if the 2.2 is a lot worse as for mpg it depends on the driver at the end of the day

I've got a 2.2, not had any major problems with it, only thing that did cause concern was a boost pipe going, but was cheap enough to fix. Mpg is good, avg mpg on dash shows 34 - 38 round town, and between 47 - 55 on motorway, depending how its driven. Didnt think there was any difference between the two with regards injector problems, in either case its likely to be a big bill to sort. Mines a 54 plate on 120k, apart from boost pipe and back box falling off, no real problems. Have got some rust making an appearance tho, inside drivers door, and roof rails starting to bubble in places.
