Non transferable reg marks ?

Non transferable reg marks ?
Ive just noticed on the bottom of the V5 in special notes it states The reg mark in non transferable . why ? anyone shed any light ?

Usually because the plate it was given at first registration has been transferred off and the DVLA have given it a random plate - which cant be transferred as it might be worth something.
As an example the plate on my car is none transferable and it reads XX X4 NNE when messed with it reads XXX ANNE which is obv worth a bit of money.

yeah it has had a private plate so that would make senc butthe plate thats on it someone was after buyin so would all make sence . Cheers guys Ally
