Hi folks. Currently got a re-shelled FRST running a 1.8zvh under the bonnet but decided im gona go all out zetec turbo. My bottom end is "supposedly" built with forged pistons, rods etc by the previous owner so that should b all good......fingers crossed
Just bought a modified zetec head with all the work for manifolds and fuel rail already done.
The spec i am lookin to run is as follows:
1.8 zetec turbo engine
T3 turbo
Modified RS1800 cams
Uprated springs and valves
Head is ported for EFI inlet and polished
Vernier Pulleys
Beige injectors
Uprated Fuel Pump
Cosworth Air Filter
Turbo back Scorpion exhaust with modified downpipe

Suspension:
40mm lowered on gmax shocks and springs
16 inch mondeo wheels
4 pot wilwoods on front with uprated discs
Gathering parts for rear disc conversion atm

Interior:
Full FRST interior
Back seats will be taken out and cage installed soon with harnesses

Time for an update. After a couple "eventful" weekends the car is finally alive
Had the engine stripped 2 bare and rebuilt with new parts from the ground up. Also stripped the engine bay wiring loom out of the vehicle and tidied it all up. Was a few niggles nd problems along the way but persevered and got there in the end.
Wil try and upload pics soon.
Any questions wil b answered and any help given lol

Time for a wee update. Not much progress to report and I'm quickly losing the love for it . Every time I think I'm finished I find sumthin new. Water hoses are newest headache and I can't get em sussed. Seriously thinking bout movin on but too much time has went in2 it. Just wanna drive it now

engine bay will be tidied up once its back from sitech in the next couple of weeks hopefully, getting it up and running was waynes main priority.

Car is now off to Sitech Racing to be finished off. Unsure what they will recommend yet but will keep updating.
Hopefully have car on the road in the next few weeks and make the most of the summer

just thought you would have done the rocker cover a different colour to match the bay or painted the bay white again while the engine was out.

 

dont think he took the engine out mate its the same bottom end from when you sold it just changed the head over to zetec, he just wants to drive it the rest is cosmetic and can be done over winter, you know what its like with old fords always something needin done lol.

 

I'm just wantin the car on the road now really. Wuda painted it etc if I had patience but it can wait. Just want to drive it

Yeah I thought it was going to be on the road far sooner too but lack of funds etc. meant it's taken a while. Should be worth it when I get it back from Sitech

Not yet mate......in contact with Simon at sitech most days and it's almost ready. Lookin like next week but i'm on a course so be next weekend. Been told it's running good tho......just some under fuelling issues but all sorted now

was down at Sitech on Saturday though for a look. Still waiting for a fuel pump for it.....mapped to 13 psi so far but doesn't get enough fuel after that so once pumps in it should be a good un

Gonna be tight for making it. Fuel pump will be there tomorrow then itl be mapping finished then mot. If Simon is at knockhill I could get him to take it there for me. Just need to see what happens

bout bloody time bud, glad its almost finished, canna wait to go out for a spin in it been a while since you bought it, hopefully get my 1 back from sitech shortly 2, so we can go out and terrorize the scoobys in aberdeen lol.
