Default Ford Escort RS Turbo Insurance Group?

Hi All,

I'm new to PF so bare with me for now I'm usually more into the VAG scene than anything else, but i'm getting pretty bored of it now and planning on changing brand for somthing a little different such as a RS turbo .
I Just wanted to know what is the insurance group for one? I've checked high and low but i keep ending up with all these different figures people are quoting

Thanks,

Sam

Totally agree with you!!
If i was to post a similar thread on one of the VW forum you would just get 6 pages of pure non-sense.

RS Turbo is 14-15 depending on where you go. Classic insurance is a great way to keep costs down (and being an old git). They are good fun cars but not built too well and they are very basic (especially compared to Golfs). Stonking fun though and I wouldn't be without mine although I own VAG for daily duties. When I've had my RS Turbo at the office I get odd looks as I climb out over the roll cage wearing a suit

Welcome to PF dude

If you can't find the info you need about the old rst on here, then I will be very suprised. Just a word of warning though, be prepared to look at LOADS before you buy one as most are just tarted up rot IMO. There seem to be quite a few nice ones popping up in the for sale section on here, which seem excellent value for money with all the work that has been carried out.

I love a good VAG, get some pics up of your own

Welcome m8, and as already been said insurance group 14-15 and if you are going to limit your miles to say 5000 go for a classic policy especially if you are an old fart like me costs me Ł164 fully comp and i am not using my no claims on it either thats on my audi a3 1.8t which my missus drives which i am bound to lose!!!!! but go classic m8 and get an agreed valuation on it too
