running no dump valve

Default running no dump valve

i have heared of people who dont run dump valves on theyre cossies, is this true, wont this ruin the turbo?

the general rule i beleive is......under 25psi and or a t4 turbo they arnt needed

sound a million times better without anyway

no it wont ruin the turbo.

If the Turbo has a weak part, then it will appear if running without a dv.

Leave the standard recirculating one on, don't fit a atmospheric type as they make the car sound too chavey.

Yes, all Cosworths have it oe. It`s on your hot side of ic, a black plastic Bosch type

Best not to the FRS mk1 doesnt respond well to atmospheric DV's or no DV's (stalling bad idle & over fuelling etc)
Most people fit a forge 007P as an upgrade to the standard bosh recirculating DV, and an open cone filter if you want a woosh noise,

i hate the sound of dump valves myself. I have never fitted one to any of my turbocharged cars. My cousin had one on his rs turbo and it uesd to get on my nerves what a fookin racket.

Iv got a TIAL BOV on my 3dr and im very happy with it as its not loud and i all so get some chatter from the turbo

i run no D/V on mine at 27 psi, no problem.

ok guys no dv it is, i agree with the sound too, just wanted to make sure that it wouldnt ruin the turbo
