Default Opinions/experiences/pros and cons on Poly bushes

As the title says lads, would like your views on Poly bushes. I'm putting some on my Saff as i'm restoring it but i'm hearing mixed opinions about them. Some say they're great and most recently someone said they're great for about 3k miles then they go looser than standard ones!

ALL OPINIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Thanks

Not heard anythin about them wearin out that quick
Got my 2wd saph fully poly-bushed and I like them, you do feel more 'bangs' etc from suspension when hitting pot-holes/cats eyes etc.
But the handling is better with them

i think in my experience they make handling edgy and harsh like the race cars they were designed for but my missus has them and says they are fine now she is used to them. i wouldn't of thought they would wear that quick but may be wrong i don't like them personally as i can't see point on normal roads as generally roads round my way are bumpy in a roller but i can see why peole do like them and i think if you are considering track days they will come into their own

speaking from experience here, the ones in my run about sierra have been in several of my sierra's and were bought from PE about 8 years ago, so they do last well

the downside though (as i might find to my cost) is that ford don't recommend them
probably because they don't make any money on the little crappy versions they sell every 3 months
tca failed after 4 months and ford won't do a warranty claim on it because "you've fitted poly bushes"

angry letters are flying at the moment but as a whole, this is the first ime i've seen this problem occour

lots of people are split as to who to get them from as well, but (again) in my personal experience you get what you pay for
20 minutes a side with the PE ones from wheel off to wheel on, in the garden, inners and outers at the front (but i did cheat and use an air compressor to wind the nuts and bolts in and out )

for the rears the beam bushes have mixed reviews
some sa it make the ride rock hard and other (me again) have found that it's more likely that the old bushes are so knackered that you feel the new ones are ultra stiff in comaprison

rear trailing arms need the beam out to make life easy

In my experiance........

Front poly bushes are good , sharpen up the handling a lot but the TCA ones will wear out canny quickly 3-4000 miles of hard driving.Front roll bar poly bushes don't seem to wear.

Rear beam mounting bushes are better than Ford's and don't wear.

IMHO there isn't a poly bush on the market that is as good as a Ford one for the trailing arms though all bushes wear there.
