Question cooling system pressure

can someone tell me if rst run alot of pressure in the coolant bottle/header tank??
i hav noticed a crack in my bottle and need a new one but would it be ok to run for a few days if i glue the crack or will it loose pressure?i no some cars run very low pressure so wouldnt matter but some need pressure to work!not sure about rst's tho?
car hasnt run for at least 6-7 months so need to test the cooling system is working ok!!

also should my car have a plate on the bottom of the block/gearbox??its just i can see a big chunk of flywheel and im worried about stuff getting thrown in there!!

i think the headertank caps are rated to 16psi, so decent pressure.

so glueing the crack isnt a good idea!guess il just have to wait until a new bottle appears!just want to start it to check it runs ok!!im pretty certain it will but theres always abit of doubt!found SOOO much wrong with it when it was stripped!its cost me loads to sort!no such thing as a cheap car with an easy fix!!!
