Hello and HELP!!!
(this is all in a kitcar btw)

I've got a t5 gearbox from a sierra cosworth (around '88) and I've got the speedo cable for it, however there is no way to connect the speedo cable to the box.
At the normal cable connection point there is only some kind of insert in the usual speedo drive hole, this insert has a small (about 5mm wide and 5mm deep) threaded hole in it.

Has anyone got any ideas? Was there an electronic/magnetic pickup on some of these 'boxes, or will I need to fit a new speedo drive, if so where can I get one of these from?

it is mechanical sounds like someone has blocked it off speak to paul at north yorks rs spares or pete at rs specialist you will find these in traders section easily
