Default Cosworth wont run

I'm having even more problems now with the car not running, prev had problems getting no spark but that is fixed.
The problem now is more puzzleing, I'm getting a good spark and fuel but the thing wont run, it wont even try to kick. When it is cranking you can just smell the fuel and the plugs are getting wet. I've checked timing its all ok, coil, crank sensor and ecu are all working items (i've tried them on my mates cossie) Coolant temp sensor is new as well as ignition amp, dizzy cap and plug leads even the plugs!
Can anyone shed some light my way please?

where are u getting the good spark? at the coil lead or at the plugs at the end of every plug lead earthed to the head somewhere.
are the leads mixed up?did you try a dry new set of plugs?

i am getting a good spark at the plugs have tried another new set of plugs but still nothing. Would the phase sensor cause it not to run even though i am getting fuel and a spark?

I had a similar sounding problem a couple of years back, and there was a lot of head scratching from me and my mates. It turned out that I had broken one of the lugs off the crank pulley wheel. It might be worth looking at that??

Hope that helps?

Before it started with all these problems it was running great, the engine wiringhad been hacked to death and was scruffy so when i had he chance to buy a pectal loom i did so that it would finnish off the engine bay. Ever since then it just wont go. Its driving me mad. The thing that gets me is - I AM getting fuel and a spark but the car just wont kick, it just keeps turning over.

i,m not familar with a pectal loom,is it just the engine bay area loom for all the sensors of the engine, going to the 3 connectors up at the bulkhead?if so you may need to do a conn check to ensure they are all going to the right pins in the conectors including the injectors and the phase sensor, and also the map sensor does not go through the connectors, this is a pin map i made for my own sapph 4x4 while rebuilding it,it may help as a rough guide to see if all is where it should be.
assuming thats all that was changed, the problem lies somwhere in there

I had a similar problem on mine , the Pectel looms need really good earths, mine sparked and had fuel ( the ecu earths the drivers on the injectors ) but the loom although earthed on the engine wasn't earthing to the body . 2 x £2.50 earth cables from A motor Factors and away it went !
