Rarest s2 colour???
Whats the rarest colour from the factory??? i am thinking mercury grey or black am i right??

id say black dont see many about white and red are more popular
i had a black 1 once
mine i have now was mercury grey but white is nicer and couldnt find a nice white 1 lol

didn't they change the red in production from rosso to radiant so the early rosso is probably the one

Mine is rosso red from the factory and its an early 1989 so it wasnt just earlier cars that were rosso, i think they changed it at some point in 1989 to radiant red

yep on the rosso / radiant red 88 spec where rosso 90 spec was radiant but its still red

Weird. Here in Finland black and red are normal colors, but white and mercury grey are rare.

Think you will find its nimbus grey ,my mate had a very early d plate s2 and it was nimbus grey from the factory had a lot of other early bits on it aswell as though they were using up all the mk3 stock on them

yes and some early mk4s had bronze glass not green in them

were'nt d plates the worst for rot as they were left out when there was a strike or is that just a myth ?

Nope d plates were terrible in all fords as have had a few 3i's and xr2's and they were just awful for rot and rust.

I would love to see a factory nimbus or moonstone
As for the rotten D reg debate I personally have seen very solid examples and very rotten 90 spec examples. Went to have a look at a D reg recently and it was a lot better than most I have seen lately. They seem not to rot around the sunroof as much as later examples too IMO.

Here in spain black, white and red colours are very normal, but grey color is very rare.
