hi all im new to posting on this site. and im after a 3dr or saff cossy but as it will be my first ever turbo was wondering what to look out for when looking around cars for sale ie where they rust, engine problems etc. any help will be greatfully excepted as i dont want to buy a rubbish.

Erm..

Check for/avoid if:

Knocks from bottom of engine
Rattling from head of engine
Blue smoke on start up
Smoke pouring out exhaust after lifting off from full boost
Check its straight (Lines of car ect)
Service history
HPI clear

Just usuall stuff really

 

With these car's you will rarely get low mileage now so id personally be looking for the engine to have been rebuilt at some point too,with proof that it has been done
