Default Sierra p100 stuff

As u can see I have my s1. That's no1. But no2 I have a mat black p100. Recently the axle went and gbox was making a slight noise. Has a 2.8 Capri axle in, not sure on gbox. First, what is the standard axle they have, and what would be best for me to put in. Second, I hear people going on about type 9 gbox. Is this the best for it? What is? It's staying a 2L pinto as my s1 gets the money! P1 is the winter motor. S1 garaged October till may! Cheers.

get some pictures up of it. :P
and type 9 is alright for them :P, the T5 cossy box is a better box but thers no point putting it on the back of a pinto.
u can get complete type9s used for £150 that will work perfect, the capri axel is fine for them, the p100 diff is non LSD capri 2.8i diff should be LSD

the standard axle is basiclly a transit axle, but i fitted a ford explorer axle on mine, if you need a p100 axle, detling car breakers had a p100 they were breaking and it seemed clean, had been their own for many years, that was before xmas, they may have weighed it in by now but worth a call, and your less than an hour from detling, near maidstone, kent.

theres two i think, ther both nice, a little scruffy, but i would love to buy the one that isnt dented and use it for a winter runabout. the p100s really suit the 24v.

Yeah I'm gutted bout the dented one. Another one in Bournemouth with no mot. Asked about rot, no reply yet. If I found a good enough one think I will just swap all the bits over. Got the p100 bug. My first car a 18 was a baby blue p1 2l pinto, twin 40's custom exhaust and slammed! Best first car ever. My 3rd one now!

Long term project. But only as a pinto for the time being. 2.1, and some big carbs. Want it to look good tho, hence I want to sort out the rear body etc.

the coilovers are easy to fit if u convert the car to run a sierra rear end. if u stick with the capri/p100 axel i dont know how you would fit them, they manage with the mk1/2 escorts etc so im sure its possible. lowering blocks and some avo dampers would see it through i would imagine.
