bit of a cheeky request this one but ill carry on anyway!
quite fancy a mk2 focus rs, but want to drive one to see how it compares to my sapphire cosworth and to see if i like it in general, i know the obvious reply is going to be go to ford and i have rang around the dealers but no one seems to have one in stock, the other thing i dont fancy is having the dealer ringing me up for weeks after trying to get me to buy one (have no intention of paying full price and buying from ford, plenty on piston heads for a lot less!), also dont want to waste a private sellers time by going and seeing one yet as it will take mea couple of months to put the money together, so my question is this, are there any owners around the west mids that would be willing to let me have a drive? im insured (trade policy) and will bring my driving licence, also happy to pay for your time
any takers?

You dont ask you dont get.
Reasons why you wont get.
Not enough posts
Not been on here long enough
No one is likely to let it happen.
On the flip side, if someone was tempted you would need someone who knows you to vouch for you....
Best bet in my opinion is to go to a local RS meet and see if someone will take you out.
Thats how I got out in an original Focus RS and how the Focus RS owner got out in my old S2.

if your sapp is standard then there is no comparison,as its a new car ,but thats if you like fr wheel drive,as the sierras do feel old when you drive a modern car,but thats what adds to the caractor
