Area Six (Ian Howell) 01522 877887, did one the block split on the dyno, but was at silly power when it did. I belive he may still have bits but be warned he spent an awfull lot of dollar on development so don't expect bargains.

I think you're confusing it with the 2.3 Duratec belt driven/mazda engine.

Forged low comp JE pistons are available for the chain driven 2.3 I4 engine.

the engine is too big to fit into the engien bay
as in it will stick out the top a fair bit so you'll have to put in a bonnet bulge
2.3 is the same size as the 2.0 and you have to use a fillit peice to blank off teh oil feed in the block ot the balancer shafts, fairly simply but it's got to be done right
not too sure about engine moutns, but the rwd and fwd blocks have the same casting, just not tapped out for each application, so at least you are starting with the right version

scorpio's can be had for peanuts compared to galaxy's so if you want bits just get one

change the chain, the kit comes in at around Ł140 for everyting you'd need and the timing marks are copper linked on the timing chain so you can't get it wrong

hi dojj i had read about them being too high on other forums but there are ways around this without doing owt to the bonnet it just requires lowering the engine (made it sound easy lol) which i was going to do on my chv anyway to make it a bit easier to fit my mtx75 gearbox for clearance around the brake servo.
the engine will be getting dummy fitted before ive spent any money trying to turbo it anyway and if it doesnt look like its going to work its not a big loss as ive got it really cheap anyway and should be relativly easy to sell on

Can't see why you would want to put it in an rst to be honest, would be much easier to just tune the cvh

Sorry, I was being a goon

The Ford/Mazda I4 is chain driven also.

And yes the older type Galaxy 2.3 was based on the RS2000 16v motor which is based on the old 2 litre 8v DOHC Sierra engine.

I have no idea at all what the more modern Galaxys use for power plants ?
