ive changed the plugs and leads not so long back, when i serviced her.
just wandered if the coil pack on my 1.8 xr2i would work/fit.

wanted to try that to se if its the problem before goin out and buying a new one.

between the air box and the throttle body there is a plastic tube with a multi plug on it, unplug that and see if the problem goes

They don't have a conventional CTS, its a CHT (Cylinder Head temperature) sensor and measures the temp of metal diectly and works on a NTC principle. it's on cam cover between plugs 2 and 3, if you pull this lead and turn ignition on fans should run and should EML should illuminate due to a fault being registered, when plugged back in it should rectify this if working correctly, it also controls temp gauge so if you have an abnormal reading this could be an indication.
