Default ARGGGHHH!! BROKEN DOWN!!!!!!

Well Happy New Year lads, i've had a great start to 2005.

first day back at work this morning, on my way down, get halfway then all of a sudden the revs died, tried dropping it down a gear to find the same.

car had died, pulled to a stop and tried starting it again, turns over ok but doesn't fire up?!?!?

this happened about a week ago, cut out on me but after about 5min managed to get it started again.

i get the feeling its being starved of fuel, plus yesterday i did nearly run it empty.

any idea's?????

oh by the way this is my XR3i not the RST

If it has anything to do with running the fuel low, try changing the fuel filter too!

look under your dash board drivers side and you should feel or see a load of relays

theres a tag at the back of the hold push in and push up then you will see the relay

as said its the pink one

just replace that first cheapest and easiest

then check fuel pump priming if not check wiring on pump or replace pump

change filter aswell as said before

I know this is silly,, but check part of yer loom hasn't sagged down and is resting against the rocker cover or any hot area and has melted the wire covers, thuus shorting wires, especially to teh fuel pump. This happened to me, took me weeks to figure it out
