Mk4 Fiesta skip
Hi folks, This is my Fiesta, bought for £150 and have so far spent around £800 on various bits.
it was being used for the purpose of rubbish storage/dog kennel before i got it, so the interior had to come out anyways as it was minging! i then did other minor things to it till the 1.25 lump packed up due to a life on the wrong grade oil, so i purchased a 1.7VCT puma conversion kit from Tank Mike and we installed that and had it back up and running in 5 hours! other bit and bobs followed like the stainless cat back found on ebay for £25!
currently puts out 121.4bhp and 127lb/ft on a foam airfilter and Stainless catback and roughly 70,000miles old

cheers for all the kind comments folks! everybody expects it to perform like a clapped out 1.25! always gives them a suprise when it goes like a err... clapped out 1.7!
DHMC, you swapping a fiesta zetec engine then? i'd be happy to give you some pointers, but stick a post up as i'm certain most folks on here know a shed load more about it than I do. Tank Mike for one, as he's done them pretty much every week for the last 2 years!

Good stuff man, please try as i'm in need of a roofrack to carry my bike on, when my cage is in my ZS theres not a chance it's going in the back haha :P
usually a 1.7VCT conversion by MWM (Tank Mike) starts around £900 last time i checked, but thats a drive in, drive out service. As we did the work together and he's my best mate, it was significantly less than that!
ooo, He got a site? Any idea if he does other conversions? looking at 2litre into mk5 fiesta.
Slamz:- his site is down at the mo, its being revamped as the business is moving further into the performance realms! i'll PM you his number
G950KDT:- cheers! thats quite a compliment! I think perhaps it might be the staggered wheel fitment (supersport ronals on front and capri lazers on the back) used to look quite nice on my old Mk1:

i had a set of capri laser alloys too i could have on mine, but ive went for momo arrows, think a cheap mk3 or 4 fezza for something like this will be interesting to do, its just a question of styling, even with the rat look you can go too far i think!
i think its too far when people make them into show only cars, rat cars should be used all day everyday for everything
i think it needs a bonnet vent of some kind, something like an escort rs turbo one

I have got an idea for a bonnet vent, just need to get round to making it!
yeah, i agree on the trailer queen rat car thing, i especially hate it when some pillock turns up to a show in his mk4 golf, drapes a bit of foliage over it and unscrews one side of his numberplate!
Glenny:- the puma engine swap is an absolute piece of piss, the only tricky bit is the looms, you have to at least change the engine loom (which often requires some repair as the puma kit is usually out of a crashed motor) but if you're putting a Digital clock puma conversion into an analogue car, or vice versa, you gotta change the whole loom!
thats really the beauty of the swap though, the puma is basically a mk4 fiesta coupe, so everything matches up.

I love this little car. The dissapointment on other car owners faces when a sheddy mk4 fiesta poohs all over them is epic! especailly with all the dents and shark wing! lol.
The thing about this car is, Its actully SOLID underneath. Theres not a mark of rust anywhere in sight. Charles and I have looked after the supention and mechanics very well and this is proven by the last MOT's. Everyone we've taken it to, it has passed with no advisorys
