Default Project TLF (R.I.P Nick) *FRP Powered*

Hello all,
I am a new member here. I have been using ZSOC for about 2 years now and I am currently the Essex Rep.

Sorry if this thread is a bit intence for the 1st few posts as I need to fit 1 years of worth of stuff (28 pages on my ZSOC project thread) onto a few in here so bare with me.

My car car was written off on the 10th of Feb 2009 when my mate Nick was driving it and hit a patch of ice. He died instantly and the passenger Steve was in hospital for 4 months and STILL isnt back to work, He has only just started walking again unassisted.

Nick was thinking of getting a blue ZS, and on Saterday 14th i found the exact spec one he was after. 60,000 miles, 02 Plate in imp blue. So a very long phone call later and £2,000 (taken from RST fund ) i am a owner of the car Nick wanted.

Old ZS (X235 PHK)

Few pictures when I got the car (completely standard)

The following weekend I started to mod the car (wanted to get it ready for the funeral which was in a weeks time)

Clear rear lights

and headlights smoked imp blue

and imp blue speedo surround

and the mod from my old car the OTT stripes

front door cards covered in alcantara

White hoses

front amp mounted

thats where the car stands at the moment.

Everything to this car has been done by me (with help from mates). This car has only seen a garage for the MOT.

I will be ordering the full OMP roll cage at the end of the month. The cage will be going white and the roof liner will also be covered in alcantara.

To be honest, thats pretty fucking cool. Anyone would be chuffed as fuck to have a motor dedicated to them, especially by a close mate!

I bet Nick is sick as fuck he's not driving it though!

Looks really smart mate, and a nice touch doing it in memory of your mate R.I.P.

I have a imperial blue zs as my daily driver, its standard at moment though apart from uprated bulbs. Can u still buy the lower mesh to match the top grill do you know? Because i couldnt find it when i tried looking a while back. I know ESP Design used to do it already cut to shape etc.

Can honestly say ive ever seen this car anywhere around essex on my travels, will keep a look out. Its a real credit to ya

Ah right i'll have to have another look on their site. I was meaning to detango mine this weekend as bought the silvertec bulbs but the whole car is a snow ball at moment lol. Not too sure what i want to do with mine tbh, i like the look of yours there when it was standard apart from colour coding and detango, think thats how i want mine but also lowered a little. Most my money and time goes on my escort turbo, but still nice to do bits/smarten up any car u own isnt it.

Yeah i'll do that then and just have to cut it to shape. Nice thing about the one esp/rude racing used to sell was it was all cut to shape to fit straight in.

hey jack, wow seeing the car standard now looks so wierd! its a full credit to nick mate and your DIY skills, how you got that splitter straight i dont no lol but im glad a part of my car is on that car.

Just shows that to get your car pictured in a show feature thats only 1 page in performance ford (FITP) makes it a good car and it stands out, cheers for the drive too, made me miss my ZS bigtime, she wont be the same when the phase 2 engine goes in now everythings gone from it! sometimes i wish i hadent stripped it, o well onwards and upwards, suppose i did replace it with a 300bhp mustang lol

I have started the re-wiring of the interior loom after a small electrical fire fuc*ed all the electrics up.

The car is FULLY striped inside and the old loom is out, and it is truly ruined. I have a phase 1 loom to replace it but have found out that the plug for the air bag loom is slightly different to the phase 2. 3 of the 4 wires are the same but one is a different colour. Im not sure if its worth risking putting the phase 2 plug on or not. I do have spare air bags so if worse comes to worse and they do go off I could just replace them.

the maf is on the engine loom not the interior loom. Well cheep fuses + poorly wired in fog lights (done by guy I brought the engine off) The fuses didnt blow they melted and caused all the wires to melt.

BIG update...Just won a full OMP roll cage on eBay which will be going white. So excited
