Default Fiesta RS Turbo "Thrown Together Not Brought" BIG UPDATE 09/08/11

hey, had this for a while now and well thourght it was time i started a build thread!

First off some pic's

not the most up todate pic's but i will get some up soon.

so the spec.....

stg 2 HD clutch
Stg 3 T3 Turbo
4'stainless exhaust system with superflex mounts
boost gauage
front mounted alloy intercooler
lowered on g-max shocks
uprated brakes
samco hoses
delocked
smoothed bonnet
bonnet raisers
colour coded
white dials
dtm mirrors
piper x induction
bleed valve

Since iv had it iv just seam to have been fixing it! but getting there and will slowly become the RS iv always wanted!

so plans then, subject to lots of change as i get talked in to stuff!

Rebuild engine with kent cam,
new gearbox with LSD~
full new wiring loom ( think one of the last owners keeped his hamster under the dash, looking at the state of the loom)
DTA management,
sort out couple of little bits of rust,
respray,
and then other little bits like upraded bushs and mounts

Thanks for reading and i will keep updated as new stuff comes
let me know what you think
Matt

Tell me about it that fuse box is a state! Some stole the live for the heater fans to power alarm so had no heaters. All fixed how tho. Plan is to fit whole new loom and fusebox.

Thanks for the comments peoples.

Got new uncut bumpers to fit. To make it look more factory

been busy today, fixing crash damage, new wishbones, one that i damaged, we found out that it wasnt a RST one. new drop link, old one was really bent.
front end now feels really gd with all new bushes and the right wishbones.
tomorrows task after work is new gearbox mounts and engine mount. we has looking today and looks like someone has put the wrong gearbox mounts on at some point.

MOT next month so working on getting it ready for that, need to get a little patch of rust on the passenger footwell sorted and a sidelight bulb and should be all gd.

Damage Pics-

Thanks for the nice comments people, trying to keep on top of things at mo. would love to get her off the road but due to being a daily means things take just alittle bit longer to do. But we will get there......

the other day sent the night up Voodoo Motorsport, working on her. new gearbox mounts ( enigne one still do do but couldnt get to my garage to get it) all new brake fluid, new cv boots.
checked the car over, being able to get it on the ramp means alot easier to check it over.

Ever bolt we have touched fixing and fitting new parts we have replaced with new bolts.

Spent couple of hrs today just giving her a quick clean, untill the weather stays nice to give her a full detail. but looking nice and red again now.

with any luck i sould be about to get management sorted next month, mate has talked me in to cossie management but if i can t find everything then ill just gte omex or dta. but that is far off being fitted, got to finsh building engine parts!

ok RS is in the temp garage, just sorting out getting it in to a lock up at the mo so i can start work on her.

still not 100% on engine plans at mo, working out whats best really. power to money to coolness at mo. its some hard maths!

plus the look of the thing!

STD looking or Track Slag......
ZT or High Spec CVH......

any advice is welcomed!

been doing some more work today..... ENGINES OUT!!!!

had a look around the bay to check everything is on, only one thing found at mo, the hole where the top bolt for the enigne mount is a little bigger than it should be that would be why the engine moved so much!!! but no worries ill just get a plate welded over it.

got the engine home, and in to shed, which was fun, and a totally diffrent story!

Started to stip it down to check pistons and head, all seams good. Can still see cross hatching on barrels.

We did notice that the headgasket was on its way out tho, but more down to it being old than it failling,

head is really clean. so i'm really happy.

Should be ordering the wiring loom for new ecu and then throttle bodies!!! yes thats right more than 1!!! going to be running throttle bodies, dont worry its still going to be turboed.

Not done too much work on fez for abit now just collecting some parts.

now got the main parts of the engine, now the fun of putting it all together.

engine is now going to be a 2.1 ZVH Turbo, i collected the bottom end 2weeks ago, about to fire up heating in shed and get started, will try and get some pics up later of enigne and all the parts i have.

my mate has given me a deadline to get the car done, im now going to try my hardest to get it done but if it isnt finished its not leaving the garage!

the dead line is PPC in the park in may. not been to it before but he said its good.

made a to do list, now not sure if it was a good idea, but its done now and at least i have something to show that im getting on with it.
