No I didnt crash it, which no doubt some of you will have expected the next line to be

I was actually surprised at how good it was in the snow, it never got stuck. I had a few moments where it took a bit of setting away on hills but it was generally fine. I only intended to potter about locally as the main roads were clear and gritted and the car hadnt been run for a week so thought Id nip out.

Anyhoo I did my usual and got comfy and kept driving and ended up in Weardale. It was one of those unplanned trips that you really enjoy. So I thought it rude not to take a couple of pictures while I was out. Im no David Bailey and only had my phone but nevertheless...........

The first few are actually still in Sunderland, just behind Penshaw Monument. The others up in Weardale are only about 40 miles or so away from my house so not too far and being so close its a place I drive to frequently just to get away. Its nice having somewhere like that so close to home.

Well done on the photos, the car and scenery look brilliant. ...well done on getting the M5 around the place in that weather too, since my old dears E92 320d is appaling in the snow.

Cheers,
Grant

Thanks for the good comments folks, was a cracking day I had. Its what the "random drive" was invented for

The M is on Conti Sports and has bags of grip and does well in the shitty weather. However I dont use it daily in this, I have a shitter for the poor weather, its other folks I dont trust in the snow. Id be sick if someone bashed it
