hello all ive been messing about with the carbon 3M stuff and its good but can be very tricky to put on , you need to really take ya time to get a good end result here,s my bit ive done its the climate control, as in evo 4,5,6
my first atempt took around 2hours but that bit only took around 45mins, the trick is to let the hairdryer do most of the work, and dispite what people tell ya it can be used on the outside of the car
How come that stuff stretches without pulling the stripes out of line ?
i cant see how its stretched round corners and into dishes without altering the carbon pattern ?
Hmmm the factory carbon interior bits on my Megane look crap, more of a brown kevlar weave than carbon, might pick up some second hand bits and have a go at trimming them with this stuff, always thought it'd look tacky but the stuff above looks pretty good.
I've had some for ages and couldn't decide whether it was tacky to do or not.. I did my climate surround and it does look good IMO, it's certainly a lot better than the Ralliart optional 'carbon' surround which looks like a 5 year old painted light and dark grey squares onto it (and is silly money) It certainly shames any carbon look stuff I've seen up until now. It actually has a genuine feel about it, like the mock weave is 3d and you can feel that.

thanks guys, the trick is to spend along time ensuring you get no wrinkles and you get all the corners absolutly spot on!! funny thing is i saw a real carbon one yesterday and it dident look as good..
Cant get on with the stuff. Done a small bit on the car but it just looks odd.As it dont match my other carbon stuff which has a propper finish on.. Tried abit of laquer and looks shit still. Already had the piss taken asking why ive put a carbon sticker on a part lol.
For some reason no matter what anyone says CF looks hot. I don't care if its vinyl or the real thing. I don't even care if some people think its played out. HOTNESS.
