Default Paget's Throttle Bodied Fiesta.

Ok time for another project thread.
This is my third mk5 fiesta in as many years. My first was a red phase two which came completely standard, at the time i knew nothing about cars so joined zsoc.com and went to some meets etc and soon caught the modding bug. By the time i sold it, it had a puma conversion ( thanks to ocmotorsport ) a custom catback, leather interior and some white escort gti rims. here is a picture of it.

I sold the red one to make way for another mk5, this time it was imp blue, the best colour imo. It came ready with FRP engine #417, gaz coilovers, full milltek, gloss black wheels and it was colour coded. By the time i crashed it it had full samco's, st150 front brakes, smoked front and rear lights ( rare for the mk5, worth £200 ) and some leather recaro's out of a limited edition, european puma. these were mint.
A few pics of this beast.

Now for my third project, its another imp blue, phase 2.
started work on it today at OCMotorsport.

with the old engine out.

First day at OC:

Arrived at OCMotorsport early doors to start work on the car. With full use of the companys new hydrolic ramp we had the car apart in no time. Ollie @ OC directed me in the right direction to aid him in taking the engine out. The old engine was on 80k ish and wasnt sounding too healthy.

After taking the engine out we noticed how filthy the engine bay was so i set about cleaning the inside of the bay while Ollie made a new brake pipe as the old one was awful.

After lunch Ollie then took some parts off the new engine thats waiting to go in, these included the alternator, starter motor, gearbox etc. I proceeded to wire brush, then stainless steel brush them to get all the crap off them ready for painting. As well as it being easier to paint it will be easier to work on the gearbox in future as it should come apart easier and will be more evidant if there is an oil leek for example.

The following day i did over a 500mile round trip to pick up a full piper system off someone who used to be on zsoc.com. Hed been known for messing around and i needed it asap so went up north to get it.

Day two at OC:

some more progress today, not as much as we had hoped but we were missing a part that even the scrappy's didnt have.

Ollie was taking various parts off the engine for me to clean as they were covered in oil and general crap, heres some of the outcome.

Picture of the new engine.

Engine with manifold on.

OC had a new st clutch which has a diameter of 220mm instead of the zs 210mm, so they were added, unfortunately no pics of this.
