iv got a standard air intake system at the moment but i want to put a air filter on however removing the box removes the air flow sensor and obviously messes things up with performance is there a way to remove the box and keep the air flow sensor ??

 

Can you not buy another air filter box from a scrap yard and cut the air flow meter part off. I did this when i had a 2ltr sierra and i fitted a cone filter to that.Ive heard you get more bhp when people fit the ST170 air box.

 

All induction kits keep the MAF sensor

Even a cone filter you stick on the end of the MAF sensor pipe or any induction kit for that matter.

 

I had a similar problem with my mondy mate. there is kits that you get a pipe with that you can screw the maf into, heres mine

 

Induction kits don't work that well on the mk1 focus, they get too much heat soak. I've got a K&N panel filter that goes inside your original airbox, proven to give the best power gains.
