Aye i think your right, just the wheels looked a bit like csl, and the rear arch, but it's pretty badly bent out of shape

I too hope they were ok. If they survived then no doubt the Cage did a great job. Looks Nasty and even End over End also. On the First straight after the bridge. Not long out of the tolls.

this is a quote from another site

"The M3 was driven by an experienced driver. The cause of this accident was due to traffic. The M3 entered a blind curve where it hit a Mini Cooper driving a lower pace. After the impact the M3 got fire. In the end the vehicle was completely a total loss. The driver survived due to the build-in roll cage."

little video here too.

Very good braking by the in car video. Coming up over that crest at around 150 (estimation based on regular e46 m3, but not sure what car we were in? Nova?!) and then having to deal with all that traffic, whilst the road has damp patches whilst not panicking and yanking the wheel. Good job by the others for not joining the pile up. Just goes to show how bad the ring is. Accident probably happened a couple of mins before hand, guessing based on all the cars parked up, yet no yellow flag to give u warning u are about to go flat out into a crash scene...

Imagine ramping down there in a gt2 or something about 180 to 190 mph and finding that?!?!

Cheers and hope all are ok

RW

How do you know this?

Alot of people well actually the MAJORITY of people dont wear helmets at the ring. No helmet and a Cage can = disaster!?

Just hope he was wearing one with a cage in the car.

if thats the case perhaps the driver wasnt so experienced? its not the traffics fault but the driver misjudging the likelyness of slow moving traffic on a blind bend?
i suppose its the risk you take.

Holy shit!

Life changing in so many respects, an accident like that, both physically and financially. (especially at the ring)

Hope all involved are ok.

If you have a cage (in the front) you must wear a helmet at the Ring, so most likely he was
