Default How to remove old tape residue from your bumper

Have been soaking it with wd40 for the last few hours but it is really coming off slowly and i havn't done the back plate yet???


What do you use to remove the old double sided tape???

Hairdryer to warm it up then t-cut/some other polish.

you can get a wheel that goes on a drill think its called a caramac wheel?

AutoGlym tar spot remover wprks well. When I worked in retail I obtained a bottle of Point Of Sale gum remover which shifts sticky muck without a trace.

hi ya, i used to remove the stickey with unleded petrol,

get a rag and soak it in the fuel and wipe the glue give it a good soak over ten minutes
and then have a go at wiping it off,
and this wont hurt your paint,
man do not ese thiners thow, i found out the hard way lol

Have finally removed all the old residue from the front bumper i used Autoglym tar spot remover then just some old polish and both worked well,, will drag the motor out from the garage tomorrow and do the same for the rear number plate.
