We got these guys doing the floor in my work, proper industrial hard stuff I will ask them what they use ??
If its just for a garage at home I used standard garage floor paint from B&Q I think ?? red stuff, its hard wearing and looks good just make sure the floor is clean before you paint .
Use a roller works a treat and its worth doing a few good coats.

I just used wickes paint at home, and its gone on pretty well and seems hard wearing so far, i'd say you need 3 coats though so buy about 50% more than the tub says it will cover as the coverage seems to be based on two coats from how mine went down.

He's in naval rented accomodation so that might be a bit over the top for him, but definately a good way to go for someone looking very long term

Go to B&Q mate I painted my old garage floor which was a large single garage.
One coat applied with a roller and i still had 1/4 tin left. Very gloopy stuff sod doing loads of coats!!!!

They sell blue, light grey or red paint it was around Ł40-50 quid also.

Stayed stuck too and very hard wearing.

BUT if you have any oil patchs make sure you degrease it well or paint will lift.

Bargain, thats less than half what I was expecting from when I last saw it.

Typical garage is about 5 meters by 3 metres I guess, so you'd be getting 3 coats off that one tub, ideal

My garage floor paint lifted where you park the car (with warm tyres). When we build our new garage, the floor will be acid etched first. Makes a BIG difference.

I think its either a case of using cheap paint and recoating regularly, or proper paint, then preparing it properly (or else its a waste of money).

Markk's right it's got to be two part not like the international stuff I got from B&Q. I drove my cabriolet on it 4 times before the paint started sticking to my tyres. they said I didn't prepare the floor right but I cleaned it, let it dry out and then applied. And it isn't coming up anywhere else. Anyway, I'll send you photos of this stuff coming up if you want sophieroebuck@hotmail.com.

From experience you have to go online for the 2 part paint but there's plently of places if you do an internet search...decoratingdirect, www.vubasupplies.co.uk, acml.co.uk.

There's another thread on this subject with a photo of sikafloor which looks really nice so that may be the way to go. I ended up using vuba but so long as its two part your ok...i've heard no complaints.
