well i have wanted one of these for ages and for one reason or another they have always been just out of reach but now i have one

these are the pics from the add

















things that im not happy with for a start
parcel shelf has 6x9 holes
tinted rear quater glass is tinted
side rep's (oval type)
interior is grubby (but did clean up verry well)
interior wireing not the best
steering wheel has play
rev counter wasent working (it is now)
rear lights dont match
jack point cover missing
wiper arms look like they have been to war lol

 

oh and its a 2.0 zvh the pic of the engine bay was taken when the old owner was finishing the conversion so befor anyone ask's wher the dipstick is i can conferm it is ther now lol

thermostat to header tank top hose . got this as it has a full set apart from this one

and a shelf with no holes

 

cool fella, nothing like getting your first rs. Plus the little bits help you make it better and better.

 

Good looking project there,need to put the ford badge back on the right side though

i think its hideing little bit of rust to be honest so it can stay ther till it body shop time

update time
hid all the wireing from the inner wing

then thort fuel filter looks like it could do with replaceingbut befor i fitted it i polished it up

got bit polishin things up happy


then got my thermostat top hose on
befor old and weak one

new one

then on to the easyer jobs lol
un cut shelf

and i now have matchin back lights
old one and old shelf under the car ( i know )

wiper arms have been sprayed
rear quater tints are out
and i have bought and fitted a jacking point cover. and best thing about that was i was bidding on a red one on ebay won it for Ł3 posted and when i got the parcel ther was three in total so now i have two spair

 

well the jacking point covers are all on now



color match was bang on too and you can see ther is no rear tints too

 

Nice little project mate, similiar to my own just needs a few bits to bring it back to how it should be!

Waiting for my engine to be fitted at the moment once thats done its full steam ahead.

 

its the so called little things that keep popping up like the front tyre's was baloon's as you can see in the pic above so yesterday i had a new set put on and as the guy at the garage jacked one side up i noticed water in one of the headlights so i payed for my tyre's and went home to look for a new pair and can i bugery find a matching pair all sets i came across had a darker drivers lense to the passenger side

 

well got front tyres changed as they was ballon's :P hear she is in the shop
one of his older sister's was in ther too

and today i pulled the boost guage out to find out why it dident light up and i painted the needle bright red so it would be more visible
before pail orange needle

after and in and working

looks good mate, if u can't find a light mite be easy to take it apart clean it then seal it back together

 

yeah was going to say take your lights apart and reseal them mate if you cant find new items.

i agree though it is all the little parts that mount up - i know the feeling, but the satisfaction you get is unreal isnt it

 

i have dry'd it out but now i wont be happy till they been swaped as they are looking tatty anyway

 

well today i have been to have my exhaust redone as it was hanging too low and catching on evrything only cost me Ł20 quid incluedin clamps and rubber
and wile it was in the air i had a look at the under side

its had two bits of welding as far as i can tell and all looked well

 

nice one looks a nice car, good work

got her home today with a half day left and decided to gave her a clean and this is the result

new steering wheel

heater controle pannel lights now working too as well as the sterio

and all wires tucked up under the dash

 

Damnit, this makes me miss mine. Looking good, got many more little jobs to do?

 

ill always find some thing to do

 

another rst being well looked after. nice to see more and more of these cars getting the right sort of treatment.
