Default Water Leak on Saph??

Hey All,

Im new to the cossie owners group, just a need a lttle help before i climb under her tomoz.

Went out to her this morning, and warmed her up for 10 mins before going out, to notice a bit of water running from underneath, opened the bonnet, seems to be leaking from the waterpump area. Now does this mean the waterpumps fooked???

Cheers in advance

Steve

Could be mate. Mine went a little while ago, i could see the water spraying out with the engine running and the back of the cam belt cover was soaked with water.

Is it 2 or 4WD?? Theres a little short hose that links the stat housing and waterpump on the 4WD's (Maybe on 2WD's too?) If not, theres a pipe from the water pump, to a metal pipe on the bottom of the rad. Both went on mine, just pissed water out from the water pump area...

Good luck with it...

Could also be the o'ring seal that seals the thermostat housing to the head (where the hoses go to/from the radiator if I remember correctly.
