As some of you may know i have a mk3 escort with a zetec turbo (currently waiting for cash injection and looking sorry for itself lol )

ive decided to buy thi in the mean time for something to do as im starting to do alot more myself and this required some work and sorting out.
Heres a few pics of bits done so far (not the greatest as taken in dark on phone in tight garage )
p.s car has no boot nor bumpers atm as being sprayed along with brand new bonet)
back of car (minus boot, best pic i could get lol)

bit of rust on rear valence ground back and jenolite acid applied

couple of general pics


a few of few little bits ive done..... sorayed strut tops, inlet manifold, bonnet stay, welded holes over in slam panel and strted to smooth off

Cheers jonny, I've ordered up my pedal box yesterday off tony so may start some work on that again soon . As for fez I have no plans on selling it as half want another project to learn bodywork etc. Think I may attempt a new filler panel as not the greatest

 

practice makes perfect,you gonna attempt some smoothing mods then or just make standard clean rst fez,keep it up

 

Well.... Started smoothing slam panel holes off, re spraying wiper arms, strut tops etc, general tidy up with few new panels and hopefully mint it up a bit, maybe try a few different ideas and poss drop it on some bbs style slpit rims? Lol

 

think u should give me the loom and that out of it so i can have mine runing

 

I don't even know if its any good as it won't run properly, starts then dies but never use to so need to have a look over it but havnt bothered lol. I maybe able to get you a loom though mate

 

looking good fella hurry up and sort the mk3 out

 

I really want the mk3 back on road but lack of money and enthusiasm are holding me back lol

 

took 10mins yesterday and decided to chop out the filler cap and see the damage , im going to opt with fitting a new rear quarter now but want to see if i can buy the inner section as dont really want to be making it

i thought you meant i was selling the car to you lol. i think from the outside yours looks worse than mine , the prob im thinking is the inside, trying to make panel and keep the filler neck in exactly same place without having a quarter on to line it up to
cant stand rust danny lol, think im going to crack back on the escort today as pedal box is now here and ive mocked it all up ready to go in (cheers to nuts r us)

yeh yeh lol. i officially hate s2's i think escorts went backwards after mk3's lol, a cradle? abs? why makes gearbox swaps sooo much longer lol

 

its gettin there paul going to have to look at min soon so should be fun

 

ill save you the job...... rotten lol, i think they all are, best thing u could do is remove insulation/sound deadening on inside of boot stuck to the panel

 

yea im just takin my time to look lol atleast yours is a easy colour to match unlike mine

 

lol yeah mk4's are a twat to do, mk3's are the daddys, but mk5 boxes are the same, think ford where smoking crack when they built the mk4

 

like the escort mate. as for the fiesta rs i would make a panel for the iner part then just replace the filler cap bit

ive just bought a ford rear quarter, if anyone has an inner quarter (filler neck bit) id be interested greatlym cheers

 

look on hardren panel site or beavers, fancy buying panels on ya birthday so be working on the escort

 

i do want to crack on the escort now as its annoying me lol, think ill knock drinking of the weekends on the head for a few weks as that will buy me my driveshafts lol

next step to work towards is motivation lol, going to take a long drive sat if all works out and pic up the new ford rear quarter for the fez so may attack that, need to do a few nights in garage after work if rain clears up as garage keeps bloody flooding
