Default Keeping battery Charged?

I got one of those optmia Sealed batterys on the cossie. Now its of the road for ages agian is it safe to just leave the trikle charger on? Only thing is because its a sealed unit im a bit worried to and its the last thing i want exploding setting the garage on fire

Should be ok if you leave it on charge, providing the charger is of the type that switches into float, to prevent the battery from discharging and prevent damage to it?

Yes deffo keep the battery on a float charge of around 13.8v, SVRLA batteries are badly damaged by a deep/long discharge and left.

I find the best way to keep the battery charged is to drive the car you god damn bufty!!

Will have a butchers and chuck it on, just wouldnt want the thing exploding while i was asleep

you can get a trickle charger, Halfords etc for keeping battery charged wen vehicle not in use which is safe to leave on

i have a battery saver on my cossie.it detects any drop in voltage.it is full short circuit protection so can be used permanently connected to your terminals .if you want one tel 01706860338
