Default mk1 mk2 golf question help solve a debate

i know it's not a golf site , but me and the missus are having a debate ( whick will turn to fisty cuffs soon )
we saw a G reg golf cab today and she swares blind it is a mk1 shape but i say it is a mk2 shape , yes they look simlar but i say it is a mk2 please help even pics would be great because i can't be beeten by a bird can i !!!!

thanks all i thought they made the mk1 upto a D plate .
now the missus is giving me no end of grief
looks like i wont ever live this one down
washing up duties for me for the next week

no sure what cab it was i thought the golf went onto a mk2 cab when they changed to mk 2 shape
looks like she can fix the car from now on and i'll do the washing and ironing

VW never made a mk2 cabthey stayed with the mk1 shape till the mk3 came out then they made a mk3 cab but never was a mk2 shape cabriolet

they did update the shape though it was always built off the mk1, but they put mk2 big bumpers and stuff and different grill afaik.

think i'm fighting a loosing battle trying to win an argument with a woman

Yes its facelifted slightly, but it is NOT a mk2 golf, it never was a mk2 golf and it never will be a mk2 golf.

yep mk alright they tried to make a mk2 cabrio but the swage lines on a mk2 are to high
