OK, I'm just intrigued as to which route people would follow here. If you had a car that was totally standard, steelies, normal bumpers etc and you had an amount of cash to spend that would either get you something performance enhancing like a cam kit and throttle bodies or you could buy a new set of alloys and a nice (non max power) body kit and sex the car up, what would you do?

Drive a fast crappy looking car, or drive a slower nice looking car?

I would go for looks as a standard Escort or Mondeo just wouldn't do it for me looks-wise.

That's what I mean, I'm not talking max power shite now. It's like that mk3 Escort 1.3L that looks totally standard, even has the steelies but there's a cossie lump inside it that was on here ages ago. If I was gonna have a mk3 Escort it really would need to be an S1 or have the S1 kit if it was having a Cossie lump in because it just looks so much more desireable to me. Sure, having a sleeper is going to be a lot of fun at the lights but it just doesn't do it for me.
