Hi everyone,

Hope someone can help I bought an electric sunroof motor, cowling, switch and wiring including interior light ect from e-bay, the motor works ect the problem is the splines are finer on the motor drive than the ones on the spigot sticking out of the sunroof, I went to my local ford dealer and all these parts are discontinued!! cant even buy a new sunroof has anyone else done this conversion and encountered these problems

you need a early granarda motor or a late saff sunroof that was electric to match motor to spline most scrap yards will have a granarda motor

 

makes sense my mate has a granada with an electric sunroof well we thought he did it didnt work so I asked if i could swap roofes with him we took it apart only to find no motor under the cowling (hence why it didnt work) and large splines just like mine some other fortunate cossie owner must have got there first, so need to search for a granada then.
