Slight problem with a 1.4 Puma (i believe it to be the zetec SE, ex manifold at the rear)
It starts and revs absolutely fine, and drives nicely, until you come to change gear. When you start to change, the rev's surge upwards a little (maybe a thousand or so revs, less if you predict it) and fall slowly until drive is taken up again.
This only happens while driving, as when stood still the car revs and settles as expected. It's like the clutch is making the rev's surge a little when on the move, if you get where i'm coming from.
Any ideas? I thought a speed sensor, or maybe MAF, but i've not heard of this kind of problem from that.
Car is only on 58k and is immaculate with full history. T reg.
Thanks guys.

Anyone had similar? Hopefully its a quick fix. I cleaned throttle butterfly and also MAF sensor last night incase it was either of these. Yet to test it on the road (waiting for dry day as it's for sale and been detailed).
