Just finished this game last night and I have to say, if you own a ps3 its is ESSENTIAL that you purchase this one.

Everything about the game is so well polished.
Great story,
seamless, exploring/gunplay/beatem up.
A good long single player campaign (too many games can be finished within a few hours by experienced gamers ), uncharted 2 took me around the 20 hours mark.
The only game so far to utilize 100% of the ps3 power, and it really shows, breath taking scenery, deep crisp detail, and stunning visual effects.
Voice and model acting is top notch, found myself laughing out loud at many of the cutscenes due to the quick wit of the main character.

all in all, a very enjoyable game. (yet to even get round to the multiplayer)

Its absolutely awesome! the scenery is by far the best ive ever seen on any game!

I've really enjoyed playing it, and haven't touched multiplayer either yet!

Its good to know that the money spent on the game is worth it, it must have been such a massive job to develop!

 

I love this game you should do it on hard first then it unlocks crushing amd multiplayer is the best you need to find the shot gun and blast people. We should have a pf multi player game its 5 on 5 on death match

 

I was thinking of buying this, but Call Of Duty Modern Warefare 2 comes out in a couple of weeks so I doubt I'll play it much Stuck for chosing games to play at night at the moment. It's either Need For Speed Shift, Fifa 10, Quantum Of Solace, or World Snooker Championship.

 

DanRSturbo you should definately get it! honestly it is fantastic. Call of duty 4 was praised for its epic single player story (won game of the year for story last year)

But uncharted 2 makes cod 4 look like a picnic. Also, as I said, took me around 20 hours to finish the single player, where as the call of duty games have all been under the 3 hour mark.

 

I have teh 1st one and loved that might have to get the 2nd one now

 

They have described the first one as a tester for this game. Honestly if you loved the first one then number 2 will blow you away. GET IT! lol

 

is it better than the first one? i really enjoyed that but thought it got a bit daft where the spanish soliders had turned in to them weird monster things!

 

It does dable in the supernatural. I like it though, mixes things up a bit. Kinda like indiana jones.

 

Got it on Tuesday and have just finished it. One of, if not the best game on the PS3 to date.

The graphics are spot on and the gameplay is just immense, after playing both Unchaterd 1 & 2 I really feel that all new games need to use this standard of game as a benchmark.

Took me 12hrs 58mins to complete on normal mode, 2hrs 58mins of that I was standing still doing nothing Going to attempt to do it again but this time on "Crushing" mode just to make things a little more interesting.

 

It is rare to have such a well polished game released. To think the week before i was playing NFS shift which had no damage modelling, shadow glitches and jelly suspension errors when it hit the shelf and it froze up after every 2 hours of play.

 

That's just EA for you mate, if you have Fifa 10 you should have noticed the update you need to download as soon as you put the game in for the first time, it was to fix a glitch which allowed you to score from the half way line every time you had a shot providing you were holding down the finesse button.

 

Yeah, to fussed about meeting deadlines. Also, they know for a fact with things like "fifa" "need for speed" etc titles they can release any old shit and it'll be bought. Then patch it up later.
When I handed NFS shift back to the guy in the shop for a 10 day refund he said I was the 9th person that day to return it for the same reason, it being unfinished/glitchy. Then you get games companies complaing that returns policies and trade in's are making them lose money. I say make a good, finished game to begin with and it wont get taken back!

 

Got the game today with my PS3. Got quite far in it for only 3 or so hours play. Brilliant game, good script.
Went online and got my ass handed to me though lol

 

Ahh mate, have you played the first Uncharted? If not I recommend you stop there and buy the first one and complete that. As good as Uncharted 2 is, you really need to work your way through the series in order to get maximum enjoyment. Graphics are awesome though are they not?

I played the beta for 2 online its good fun but its noware near cod for the online gaming

 

my 16 year old step brother finished it in 4 and a half hours but he did say it was good.

Yeah when the game started i figured there was a bigger picture i had missed from the first one. Will plod on and get the first one soon. Got COD6 preordered so will be busy with that soon

 

This game is brilliant I had the first one and completed that so had to buy this one

I’ve completed UC2 now with most of the trophies and achievements the only trophies I need now is hard and crushing then I will get platinum but I’ve no idea how I’m going to beat the last boss on hard as I struggled on normal

The only in game achievement I don’t have is the Riot Runner or something like that when you have to shoot someone with a shield and run over it when they go down and attack them with punches

I even got an achievement for petting all the Yaks in the village I now need to go back to uncharted 1 to get all the treasures for that and work on the trophies on that one aswell now

It is a fantastic game and I would highly recommend buying this and the first one

Can anyone tell me whats the crack with ps3 and ps3 slim/lite? apart from the obvious and are they phasing out the older one as ive read that the lite version is cheaper? so the who wants to buy a chunky old version that costs the same?

I dont believe that for a second lol. All the cutscenes pieced together last nearly 2 hours.

 

I'm currently playing the first one again trying to get all the trophies, not looking forward to playing either of them on crushing to be fair, lol.

It didn't originally mate, none of the PS3 games did till Sony released an update, unfortunately you will have to update your game and then play through it again in order to get any trophies

I had a go on multiplayer to get that trophy and got killed 9 times and got one death as Ive no idea where to go on the maps as its all new to me that

Not quite mate... it's only presented in 720p [fuck knows why, the demo was 1080i ] but because of the graphic assets, it does look truly superb!

 

it had to be run in 720p with upscaling otherwise the ps3 wouldnt run it. Once you finish the game and you can purchase the making of videos it gets explained there.

 

Yeah man, I understand why they did it [in that respect] and I think it's an AWESOME looking game! Definitely one of the smoothest games to date.

Just saying though... if developers do what was said above by someone and produce as polished games as this from the outset but also in 1080p without having to rely on upscaling... AND they do them in 1920x1080 instead of 1280x1080...

Having said that though, on most people's TVs you wouldn't notice much of a difference but in the scheme of things, the PS3 has a lot of life left in it for developers to keep pushing more and more out of the hardware before we get to 100%

For now though, I'm more than enjoying Uncharted 2

 

I wasn't going to bother getting this as I haven't played the first one. But after reading this I will be putting it on my list.

 

Play the first one first mate, it's a great game in it's own right! And on platinum too now, so only Ł14.99 new from Play Possibly even cheaper used?

 

Do it mate, the first one is Ł14.99 on play.com, it's an old game now but worth every penny, you might even be able to get a pre-owned one from blockbuster for about a tenner, you'll love every minute of it.

I've got to stop myself playing Killzone2 & COD WAW multiplayers I'm totally hooked, the new COD MW2 is due next week as well!!!

 

meh COD MW2 has absolutely nothing that COD MW had. Even "playstation magazine" have stuck it on the "whats not" list.
The multiplayer in killzone 2 is much better, and so is the single player campaing i should imagine, seeing as I finished WAW in one sitting of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

 

I don't get on with those COD games. I find myself shouting threats and obscenities down the mouthpiece at 6 year old little american cunts that are better than me

 

the trailer looks good but the 'theme' of it does nowt for me, im presuming its a tomb raider/indiana jones type thing?

i played the multiplayer beta a few weeks back as well and it did nowt for me really, just flashy graphics

 

I dont undrestand what all the hype is. Especially how COD MW won "best story" last year. It was just the same generic world nuclear threat story ripped straight from any tom clancy book.?!?!

I really hope this one kills off the franchise so i dont have to listen to people rave on about how amazing linear 4vs4 multiplayer is!

Im looking forward to the multiplayer in the new battlefield bad company.
