Question the best way to make a header tank white? discolouration!

whats the best way on my fiesta to make the header tank polar white again? ive cleaned all the muck off it and put it in the dishwasher but its got yellow discolouring on it still!

i tried dishwasher, bleach, every cleaning product i could lay my hands on, only got to a certain off-white colour and then wouldnt improve

so i bought a new 1 for 20quid, having probs spent about a tenner on dishwasher tablets and cleaning products already

I read about someone putting some small pea gravel in it with some hard cleaner and shaking the living piss outta it. Might try that. Scrape her from the inside.

Depends if the staining is just that, staining, in which case something will eventually get it off. Or it could be that the actual plastic has itself dis-coloured, usually due to heat, in which case I dont think it can be reversed

if the staining is inside it, then put dry rice in it and shake the bejesus out of it.

mk3 are still available new, for £30 i'd save the shit and but 1, they should be clear too

Just buy a new one for £40 Rob.

The Series one lads have tried everything under the sun to make them look new and there is nothing on the market that will take the discolouration from the plastic.
