bit of a shame....

 

strange. must be a viewing numbers or an excessive cost problem then. Ditching a show with high numbers makes no sense.

 

wonder if that's why VBH was on gmtv this morning then doing the competition? times must be hard!

 

I always wondered how they can give away porsches etc every week as prizes!

 

the phone lines pay for the cars. well they should do if theres enough viewing numbers.

 

no need to ditch the program. just some of the knob head presenters.

tbh I think it is a poor programme, seemed to have slipped into a 'copy topgear, but don't do it as good' mode.

Always felt like it was aimed at school kids who would w*nk the next day over the lambo that was on. Topgear on the other hand felt more adult and just much easier to watch.

 

Top gear was always better than the second rate 5th gear. wernt most of the presenters top gear wash outs anyway??

 

i wasnt that keen on the program as a whole, but i will miss tiff and platos dice ups.

combe in the evo 10 and new scooby anyone, that was class lol

as for comparing it to top gear, you cant, TG is funny, 5th G isnt.

the "talent" was tiff and plato, and they've earned big bucks doing other stuff
the other peeps write for top gear amongst other thigns and vbh does that discovery turbo thing

she hasn't aged well though and it got a bit embaressing watching her gigglng like a 5 year old while looking like a 90 year old behind the wheel

 

i only watched the bits that had the rs turbo vs the gte, the 3dr vs cossie merc, and the rs focus... had to record the show then just watch them bits...couldnt watch the actual prog..hate it..

For once I’m in total agreement, although VBH has been acting the schoolgirl for at least 10 years too long and even she seemed to have given up on it at the end. The show was cringe worthy at times and is definitely better off dead, how it survived so long god knows. Plato and Tiff were good at times but it looked dreadful compared to Top Gear with its mega budget.

 

Thank fuck for that!

im surprised so many are knocking it tho,at least it was another car show and plato and tiff are way better than that twat may....

 

I imagine these type of shows take quite a hefty budget to make, they do tend to have budgets that they waste on making stupid things like the bedford rascal van etc.

Also, how many presenters do they bloody need for one show?

Real shame, the Tiff and Plato bits were great I reckon.

I enjoy topgear more, but I did like fifth gear.

Agreed, if it was being replaced with something better than fair enough, but it will probably be replaced in the schedule by some shitty reality TV show or another soap opera or something else equally not about cars

 

but his car is hardly standard is it? plus i bet for the money rod has spent on his cossie you could have one of the supercars you see on the program week in week out.

Erm Madrods car has been on fifth gear,yes I like the Plato versus Tiff stuff and fifth gear did seem to me more real cars than top gear

 

Id still bash her back doors in then go for ATM She cant giggle while sucking on a cock if she can shes got skills

 

But would you spend 60k on a old sierra when you could have something newer and still quick like a 996 turbo or gt2 and the like?

 

 

I'm a bad example, as ive spent nearly that much on my old sierra and nova already

But they tend not to do many reviews of 6 year old 996 turbo's either anyway
