DVD/Laptop help please.
Just went to play a DVD on my laptop, and its not playing. You can hear the dvd spin up, but thats all it does.
The dvd's are real copies, so its got no reason not to work, I was watching on the other day and it was fine.
If I go into 'my computer' and right click to get it to open in 'auto play', nothing happens?!
Anyone got any idea, I can't find nothing on google!
Thanks..

Does Windows see the drive as a DVD drive in Device Manager or just a CDROM drive? You may need to update drivers if due to Microsoft-itis they have become corrupt or otherwise unavailable.

Agree with Rick, check in Device Manager, then you could try right clicking on that device and uninstalling it, reboot and it should reinstall itself
if not, try downloading VLC player (www.videolan.org) freeware and will play absolutely any video and audio format
