Owned the car for about a month now, and driven it about 50 miles lol, but any way...
Its got 63k with every old MOT etc to prove its genuine. When i picked it up it had been driven through demon tweaks. So every thing is chrome, stainless or stuck on lol
It handled like shit with the random multi fitment alloys but went like stink on the way home, came off the a3 and Konk..... nothing. Stalled and starter wouldn't engage.
The starter had been cooked, so fited a new one with a new battery, massive starting issues and general running issues. Turned out a pipe had fallen off under the inlet manfold and the guy i bought if from couldn't find it so just turned up the fuel!!!!!
The wheels have been replaced with 2wd cosworth, and the bling is gradually being returned to standard.
From the day i bought it, fairly shiny

Bit grimy but not too bad

Wheels and heat shield are no longer fitted, the wheels along with brand new tyres will be up for sale when i have gold membership, gash number plates are also standard now.

Heat wrapping the down pipe to try and save the new starter.

Putting it back together.
Degreasing the engine

Was in a rush, would have come up better if i had brushed it and jet washed it, but just hosed it down.
Going to start a bit of a project thread just had a spare few mins and wanted to ask some questions as well!
Right, i have fitted the new -31, the car is now, with slight adjustment of the bleed valve running (and holding) 10PSI right upto the red line, going strong. However at tick over the car seems to rattle from the exhaust??? could this be caused by the actuator rod not being short enough? ie) the wastgate flap is rattling? thing is i couldn't see how to adjust the rod length with out taking the end part of the rod off? does the entire rod turn with ou damaging any thing in the actuator body? ie, i can adjust rod lenght with out disconnecting the nd part from the turbo?
Cheers all,
Rob,

Right rocker cover fitted, WELL annoyed! i tightened the bolts upto 10NM (nothing) and one has snapped and i felt one go plastic. Allen headed SHITE clearly Chinese cheap ebay crap, So im getting some proper stainless a4 bolts from work and carfully removing the stapped article lol
Can you adjust the actuator rod in situe? ie can you turn it without disconnecting from the turbo?
Few more pictures

Rob,
Good work on the de-blinging! Looking 10 times better already.
With your question about the actuator, Im pretty sure there is nothing inside the actuator that can be twisted, even so there should be a nut below the end part of the actuator which is to tighten the end part once its at the right length. However, I wouldn't recommend adjusting it yourself as there is alot more to getting mfi (the pain in the arse that it is) to run sweet than the amount of boost its holding.

Cheers lads, the de blinging hasn't ended yet lol, I am booked in for a set up at torque of the devil on friday, just fitted a new -31, problem with the actuator rod is the wastgate flap is too loose and is rattling of throttle and slightly at idle (vacumme no boost), im only aiming for 10psi or less untill i get it to TOTD, would they adjust the rod length on a set up any way? it just seems a pain in the arse to get to. So figured if i could get a safe boost level they could just adjust as they wanted via the bleed valve......?
Rob,
Rob,
Just explain to them exactly what you would like and im sure they will be able to adjust and sort everything for you,my mate took his fiesta turbo there and said it drove 10 times better afterwards so he recommends them
make sure the actator rod has a bit of preload on it to keep the wastegate shut you should have to push it a bit to get it back on the wastegate arm you need about half a hole of preload if you know what i mean eg/ when you offer the actuator arm up to the wastegate arm without forcing it the wastegate arm should cover half of the hole and then you push the actuator in to get it to go over

Just come back from torque of the devil, they are a class act, friendly and helpful.
Car is now fuelling correctly, i hadn't checked the ignition timing when i bought the car, and thought i had heard it pink a few times, turns out it had 24 deg of advance
First run at 6psi it made 114brake....... Any way, for the road i plan to keep the boost to standard with a variable boost controller but for fun days at the pod etc. the car is making 185 brake dead and 205 lb.ft of torque, chris said i could have gotten more with better fuel but at 17.5psi it is reliable etc. quite happy about the torque
Feels brilliant to drive, not quite as fast as when i first bought it but far far more drivable!
Still laggy as feck tho lol, 2wd cossy turbo and 285t2 are apparently not the best of choices regards to lag!
I highly recommend them!
I will bang up some more pictures soon, just received a pace intercooler and alloy rad as both of mine have leaks (shame as the intercooler is a GRS full front jobby) any idea if GRS can re core?
Cheers all

sunday should be gd!!

sunday should be gd!!
Chris said i could have gotten more if i was chasing figures but i wouldn't be as reliable, power delivery is much nicer now as well, for a pretty laggy setup power comes in alot better which means less wheel spin and gearbox breakage lol

Ran a 14.4 @ the pod yesterday which wasn't too shabby i didn't think with stupid amounts of negative camber on the front + road tyres. Think i could get it down a bit if i worked on my starts... Clutch is deffo slipping now tho
