Sierra cosworth problem
Hi everyone! I 'm writting about a problem that a friend of mine has with his car. The car will not run good at all with the phase sensor plugged in but it will with the sensor unplugged!!!
Also the car has L8 Ecu and loom but 2wd block and cylinder head and also has PF01 TPS. (the car was bought like this and was running good for about a month and after that the problems came). So far the CPS is replaced and gapped correctly and phase sensor is replaced and gapped correctly and also knock sensor replaced(it was damaged). PF09 TPS, CTS, ACT and distributor cover and rocker arm are on the way... The engine has been fully rebuilded (piston rings, shells, gaskets etc). he measure all the sensor from the ecu plug and all look good except from terminals 6 - 22 (knock sensor) that show 7 ohms resistance even with the knock sensor unplugged! Is this right?
Anyway any thoughts why the car will run ok with the phase sensor unplugged but it will not run good at all with the sensor plugged in?
Thanks!!!

Anyone? I have never seen this problem before so can anybody share thoughts? We are going to measure the Map again and if this is right it means that there would be no other fault except from the programm or the ECU... Any opinions?
But the weird thing is that if you unplugged it (the phase sensor) the car runs quite better! I have never seen that before that's why I was asking...
We can't find a solution and the sensor itself has been replaced among other sensors!
