i can see them being better than standard as they dont have the same angle on 2+3 cylinder as a standard one but as for plus 20bhp? im not sure, standard ones do 300bhp plus as this very website would lead me to believe

yea i got one. bought it used, had 2 get face skimmed cos gasket wouldn't seal! apparently its better cos standard manifold 2&3 combine before reaching turbo whereas the auto specialist manifold is seperate! definately made the car sound different but doubt it made much power difference

Mine was warped and as said can't see it doing much power wise, looks a little nicer than an old cast manifold but that's as far as it goes really.

I've bought one myself when they first came out and to tell you the truth I don't think it has made alot of differents in power I even had it set up on the rollers about 6 months after and even then it didn't make that much extra power I think I spent about £420 which includes fitting, in my opinion I don't think it's worth it and plus the manifold starts to fade and loose it's colour.

fair enough.. but a manifold has a function and its not to be shiny like all the other shit that auto specialists do.

I agree, and it does!... fair enough maybe not the claimed 20bhp but they still function as they should. i know i said above that there not worth the money but in my case it gave me an extra 11bhp for £295, ok not the best buy but how much does a cam kit cost?.... you would expect to see that sort of power gain with a cam!

not a lie i was there it was dont at thrusdon engineering in brentwood, not the world grateist rollers.

the car was relativley standard s2, only on 10 psi with a front mount it free'd the reves up loads and def recored more power not goin into exact figures as i dont have them in front of me.

if AS write about testing something they will have done it, there a very trust worthy company in that respect, they have loads of testing with nearly all there performance stuff.

When I build my new engine early next year, I will be buying one, oks I'm not expecting a huge bump in power! But taking things back to the simple, the better the gas flow in and out is better is all ways a good thing. Also its not that bad looking and you can keep the engine bay kinda standard looking.

thats good to hear, and as said earlier 11 hp imo is a bloody good power increase, more than a cam change?
