Default I'm in SOUTH AFRICA!!!!

Finally got here and we are ripping the rig to bits you should see it! But i am now on the hunt for a ford bantam 85 -92, you know the escort pickup. Got teh idea after reading the thread about the belgian guys red one. Gorgeous and know one has one, well nearly no one.

The prices for cars and bikes out here are astronomical. cheapest i have seen so far is for a 89 and it was 1600 quid! wasnt in very good nick either. God this is going to be hard, trying to get it sent back home by one of our own containers to aberdeen if i am lucky, never know i might get it free!!! Doubt it but you never know. Anyone know any shipping agents in cape town???

I think you'll find that from around 85 - 92 maybe even later (96) they were an escort front end and after 2001 they changed it to a fiesta! Nice try though.

before

after

was told by one of the roughnecks today to use gumtree, going to have a gander the now.

The missus went loopy when i told her what i was up too! hehe

We left yesterday with the rig on our way to equatorial guinea, i have a couple of contacts to help me with getting a "buckie" this year. Guys are really cool, will go look at them for me and stick it in a container. roughnecks we were working with, he needs parts for a morris minor he's nearly finished restoring and i said i would gladly help him find the parts.
